Of a hyperlink? They indicate an action will occur when clicked (rather than opening another menu, or simply being an inert piece of text to show info).

I'm quite confused by the new menu rendition too. Sometimes, the hyperlink (something I clearly do not expect in an application) opens a new windows (maps, plane profil), sometimes it opens a sub menu (navigation options), sometimes it is a selection (Flarm, Dynon, X-Plane), ...

I can't find any logic or any tips of what I can expect after clicking such a link. What's more, and possibly the most important, it's way less readable (less contrast) and the rendering is quite ugly ... To me, it's a real step backward on usability.

+1 don't think the new hyperlink adds anything, detracts from the simplicity of the menu.

Can you post a screenshot? I'm sorry, but saying they're "way less readable" doesn't make much sense unless you consider all hyperlinks to be that way? I wonder if there's a rendering issue on some devices.
The navigation options screen is not a submenu. It's a hyperlink because it dismisses the current menu structure and opens a new screen.

What do you think about getting rid of the underline & define a explicit colour for these kind of links?

I'm open to suggestions of course, although most colours aside from dark blue (the current) will offer even less contrast compared to black.

Nothing wrong with the dark blue, I think it´s fine to distinguish from an 'ordinary' link. It´s all about the underline -  it looks plain & simple ugly.

...just my 2cents

I don't understand the 'hyperlink' at all. In the menus all the entries either lead to a sub-menu, in which case they have an '>' symbol to indicate this, or they don't and seem to be displayed as a hyperlink. Why just not leave these in black non-underlined as before?

E.g. When choosing from a selection (e.g. Pounds/Kilos in the Setup>Change Units>Weight menu) why are the options hyperlinks? Maybe my understanding of a hyperlink is incorrect?
